Leica BLK for Media & Entertainment

Project Overview

Leica Geosystems was looking to expand its BLK laser scanning product line into the media and VFX space. The goal: create a visually striking microsite that resonated with a creative audience — without compromising the brand’s technical credibility.

I led both the design and development of this new site from the ground up, crafting a standalone digital experience that bridges precision and storytelling.

Design Approach

To align with the media and entertainment industry, I developed a bold, cinematic visual style rooted in contrast, clarity, and controlled motion. The site was built as a one-page layout, structured to support evolving content like use cases, embedded video, and featured media.

One unique challenge was the lack of product imagery in use for this particular industry during early development. To solve this, we generated a suite of stylized AI-driven visuals that established mood and narrative tone for the initial launch — setting the stage while final assets were still in production.

Motion was used with intention, including scroll-synced transitions and layered backgrounds that give the product a sense of presence and energy.

Outcome

The site launched smoothly and was well received by internal stakeholders across the marketing team. It served as a creative template for reaching new audiences and remains live today, with updates continuing to build on the original design.
