BLK2FLY and BLK ARC Launch

Project Overview

BLK2FLY and BLK ARC are two autonomous scanning products from Leica Geosystems — one aerial, one robotic. I designed and built the initial launch pages for both products as part of a dedicated WordPress microsite, BLK2021.com. Once the new BLK showroom launched, the content was migrated and integrated into our main Drupal site.

This project involved everything from layout and visual direction to creating 3D product renders and animations that brought each scanner to life for launch day.

Design Approach

I designed the initial microsite layouts in Adobe XD, keeping the structure lightweight and mobile-friendly while ensuring the visuals communicated the sophistication of both scanning solutions.

With limited photography available before launch, I created custom 3D renders and animations in Cinema4D to highlight product features and form. These assets were used across the site and promotional content, creating a unified visual language across both products.

After the launch of the BLK Showroom, I worked with the dev team to duplicate the exact structure and components into our Drupal CMS, maintaining design integrity while supporting the broader BLK product framework.

Outcome

The launch site helped introduce two of the most technically advanced products in the BLK portfolio. My 3D assets and page layouts were carried over seamlessly into the long-term product pages, now part of the core Leica BLK digital experience.
